Tour Plan

Today, your driver-guide will pick you up from Dar es Salaam Airport or your accommodation in Dar es Salaam to begin your scenic journey to Mikumi National Park, a 5-hour drive.

Upon arrival, you’ll visit a Maasai village, where you can stretch your legs and experience the authentic way of life in Maasai society. This is a great opportunity to immerse yourself in the local culture and witness traditional customs firsthand.

After your visit, you’ll be transferred to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

After breakfast, we’ll head to Mikumi National Park for a full-day game drive, accompanied by a packed lunch. During your game drive, you'll have the chance to spot Africa's iconic wildlife, including lions, leopards, elephants, wild dogs, giraffes, and buffaloes. The park is also home to a renowned research center studying yellow baboons, providing a unique glimpse into the animal kingdom.

Mikumi is known for its stunning landscapes, with baobab trees dotting the terrain and majestic elephants roaming freely. As you explore the park, you’ll also experience excellent bird watching and a variety of African habitats, from open plains to woodlands, all set against the backdrop of surrounding mountains.

Once the game drive concludes, we’ll drive you back to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

Today, we'll pick you up from your accommodation in Mikumi and embark on a scenic 2.5-hour drive to Selous National Park in our comfortable 4x4 safari vehicle. Upon arrival, we’ll enjoy a picnic lunch near the banks of the Rufiji River, taking in the stunning surroundings.

In the afternoon, we’ll head back to the river for a boat safari as the sun sets. This unique safari offers an excellent opportunity to observe wildlife along the water's edge. You may spot giraffes, impalas, waterbucks, kudu, warthogs, and – with some luck – elephants bathing or crossing the river. The boat will stop at the edge of one of the lakes for you to relax and enjoy your picnic lunch.

Afterward, we’ll return to our accommodation for dinner and a peaceful overnight stay.

After breakfast, you will depart for Nyerere National Park, where you’ll enjoy a full day of wildlife viewing. This park, previously known as the Selous Game Reserve, is one of the largest and most diverse protected areas in southern Tanzania, spanning 50,000 km². It was declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1982, thanks to its rich wildlife and pristine nature.

You’ll have the opportunity to observe a wide range of species, including the African bush elephant, black rhinos, lions, African wild dogs, Masai giraffes, plains zebras, hippos, and Nile crocodiles, all set in the stunning miombo woodlands.

A delicious lunch will be served at a suitable location within the park, allowing you to enjoy the scenic surroundings. In the evening, we will drive back to your accommodation for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.

After breakfast, we will drive you to Dar es Salaam Airport, a journey that takes approximately 3 hours. This marks the end of your unforgettable safari experience in Tanzania.
