Your adventure begins early at 6:00 am, with a pick-up from your hotel in Zanzibar (exact time may vary depending on your hotel's location). You'll be driven to the airport for your 8:00 am flight from Zanzibar to Arusha. Upon arrival at 9:15 am, your driver-guide will take you on a scenic 1.5-hour drive to Tarangire National Park, sharing interesting insights about Arusha's history and Maasai culture along the way.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its incredible biodiversity, including large herds of elephants and diverse landscapes, from seasonal swamps to the savanna, with the Tarangire River flowing through it. You may be fortunate enough to witness a lion stalking its prey or see leopards relaxing in the trees above.
After the exciting game drive, you'll head back to your lodge to unwind, enjoy dinner, and relax for the night.
Afternoon: Enjoy a packed lunch in the park during your safari.
Evening: The game drive concludes at 4:00 pm, and you'll return to the lodge for dinner and some well-deserved rest.
After an early breakfast at 6:00 am, you will head out to Ngorongoro Crater for a morning game drive. The early hours offer the best opportunities to witness the stunning views of the crater and observe the most active wildlife.
Ngorongoro Crater, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the largest unbroken caldera in the world and is considered one of Africa's Natural Wonders. It is home to around 30,000 large mammals, including buffaloes, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, as well as a variety of bird species such as flamingos, eagles, and buzzards. You'll be able to spot a wide range of animals in a relatively short period of time.
The game drive will conclude in the afternoon, after which you’ll be transferred back to Arusha Airport for your 4:30 pm flight to Zanzibar. Upon arrival, your driver will take you back to your hotel in Zanzibar.
